For as long as I can remember I have wanted to travel the world!

I started traveling within my home country. Embarking on solo road trips and nature adventures gave me a taste for the travel life. Which only made me more curious about the world, different cultures, wildlife experiences and exploring nature.

In 2018 I left South Africa for the first time to Mozambique and in 2019 I travelled to Mauritius.

I knew within my heart that I wanted to make travel my lifestyle. So I followed my intuition and booked a solo flight to India in January 2020.

I ended up living in India for almost 2 years (we all know what happened in 2020!). But one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my life was choosing to stay during the lockdowns instead of return home. To say that India changed my life is an understatement.

During my time in India. I traveled from the South of India to the border of Tibet and everything in between. I met my partner after 10 months of solo travel in India, who is now my amazing partner and favorite person to adventure this world with – @homeless.backpacker.

After leaving India in November 2021, I went home to South Africa to visit my family and friends before starting my next phase of travel. At the end of January 2022 I left to meet Jesse in Costa Rica. This was the start our South America and Central America trip. We spent a total of 2.5 years exploring this region of the world: Costa Rica x2, Brazil, Peru x2, Ecuador x2, Bolivia, Chile x2, Argentina, Panama, Guatemala x2, Honduras and Nicaragua.

After 3 months at home in South Africa, Jesse and I met up in Madagascar! We explored the Mascarene Islands: Madagascar, Mauritius and Reunion for a few months.

And then it was finally time for Jesse to come to South Africa and meet my family and friends for the first time after being together for 4 years! We spent 4.5 months in SA, exploring the beauty and doing major preparations for probably our biggest and wildest travel dream yet: OVER LANDING AFRICA!!

In March 2025, after massive set backs with our 4×4 and delaying our over landing trip by 1.5 months (which happened for a reason because we actually ended up leaving at the perfect time to miss the heavy rain season in the countries we planned to visit), we jumped in our Mitsubishi Pajero 4×4 and over landed for 7 months! All the way through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda. And then we headed all the way back down through Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and back into South Africa. We over landed South Africa for another month before coming back down to earth and grounding in SA for a few months!

Jesse went home in February 2026 to visit his family again, I stayed in SA, and once again we did a whole life refresh for the next journey: PAKISTAN! Where we currently are, ticking off new life dreams and bucket list adventures.

I have been a full-time traveler since 2020. I have traveled to 27 countries and counting, and I love integrating deeply into every country I visit. For me, traveling is not about ticking off as many countries as possible. It is about the depths of experiences these lands gift you. It’s about connecting with people, learning about and experiencing new ways of life that open your eyes, mind and heart. And understanding our connection to the natural world, learning about wildlife and respecting all forms of life.

Staying my full visa in so many countries I visit has allowed me to visit many bucket-list destinations and gain so much insight into the country.

So much happen throughout my early 20’s that pushed me to take risks and make choices that would create the life I dreamed of living.

And so, my mantra in life is to always follow your highest excitement. Because you never know where it will lead you. Your excitement is like a compass to your passions, life changing experiences and beautiful moments.
